I truly believe that my father is the kindest man that ever walked. With Father’s Day right around the corner, I reflect on all I have learned from my Father. I have learned to work hard, to enjoy life, to love deeply, to value family and to appreciate all of the blessings I have in my life. I can appreciate these lessons even more as a parent myself. There is no deeper love than that of a parent for a child, no matter how old the child is.
As you all know, every day, I witness custody battles, where people often forget the value both parents offer a child. Whether you are single, married, divorced or separated, please take a moment to remember the importance of every father and father figure and how he helps to shape our children’s lives.
Though my Father is currently thousands of miles away, I speak to him many times a week and think of him every day. Too many times, Father’s Day goes unrecognized. With Father’s day upon us, I think we should all take a moment to recognize the fathers (and other men) that have influenced our lives and say thank you.
I love you Dad!
