In just a few weeks, on the last Thursday in November, family and friends will gather around tables brimming with golden roasted turkey, gravy, sweet potatoes, and cranberry sauce. Between bites of pumpkin pie, sips of hot apple cider, conversation and laughter, many of us will take pause to express appreciation for all of the positive things in our lives and to reflect on what’s really important to us.
Research has shown that gratitude has a positive impact on a person’s physical and emotional health and is strong contributor to a person’s overall happiness. But, gratitude is not something that should be limited to just one season of the year or a single day, like Thanksgiving.
Gratitude is something that can and should be expressed each and every day. It’s easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of everyday life and to take the important things for granted. But, it takes only a moment to acknowledge just one thing you are grateful for.
I feel a tremendous amount of gratitude for all of the people I have had the opportunity to connect with both personally and professionally. To my family, my friends – both old and new, colleagues, clients, business associates, employees. I am grateful to all of the people that inspired me, encouraged me, put their highest trust in me, taught me, guided me, showed kindness to me, stayed connected with me, and referred business to me. I am grateful for each and every one of you today and every day.
Happy Thanksgiving from the Hymson Goldstein Pantiliat & Lohr family to yours!
