This post isn’t going to explore the ins and outs of the current debate on health care in America, but just one Mesa, Arizona couple, who couldn’t seem to agree on politics. While according to AZCentral there doesn’t seem to be a history of domestic violence between Holly and Daniel Solomon, Holly is now facing charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, disorderly conduct and reckless driving.
On Saturday, November 10, Holly was arrested after mowing down her husband in a parking lot with her Jeep after being upset that he did not vote in the presidential election the previous week. According to Gilbert Police Sergeant Jesse Sanger in a press release, Daniel said that Holly thought her family was “going to face hardship as the result of President Obama’s re-election.”
So after some yelling at him, Holly decided to chase Daniel with her car, and he may now be permanently disfigured. The Solomons are expecting a child, according to Yahoo News, and as one online commenter posted, “I suspect they will truly experience some hardships now.”
The right to vote is an important one, but it’s a good thing Holly Solomon also has the right to an attorney.
