Richard Lyons is a proud Arizona native who practices injury and wrongful death litigation, and family law.
Richard has recovered more than ten million dollars for his clients in cases against state and local governments, public and private prisons, healthcare institutions, insurance companies, public and private schools, and other such entities and their employees and agents. His cases have involved wrongful death, catastrophic injuries, automobile accidents, civil rights violations, professional malpractice, sexual misconduct, negligent hiring and retention, physical abuse and financial exploitation of vulnerable adults, and civil forfeiture.
Richard also spends a significant portion of his practice litigating family court matters. Richard has litigated divorce cases with complex asset valuation and debt allocation, contested child custody and parenting time, minor child relocation and interstate custody, preparation of pre- and post-nuptial agreements, and all other issues that arise in family law.
Finally, because of his experience in both family and civil courtrooms, Richard is often asked to litigate contested guardianship, conservatorship, trust, and probate matters.
Richard received his undergraduate degree from Arizona State University, and his law degree from the University of Arizona. Richard is a member of the American Association for Justice, the Arizona Association for Justice, and the Family Law Section of the Arizona State Bar.
